Testament for Richard S. Gresalfi

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Richie.  I have thought of him and his family every day since I heard the news.  My deepest sympathies go out to them.

I met Richie in the 9th grade at  Sachem High School and attended Stony Brook University with him.  Some of my fondest memories are of late nights out with the “gang”, Econ classes, the commuter lounge at Stony Brook and visiting Jayne and Richie in DC. While it had been almost 25 years since I  had spoken to or seen him, we exchanged Christmas cards over the years and I called him a year and a half ago. My son was looking at colleges and I found out his son was at Colgate, where my husband had gone.  I am so thankful to have made that phone call.  Even though I have not lived in New York in over 20 plus years, we had a fun, easy going conversation.  That is what I remember the most about Richie, always smiling, always having fun, always enjoying life!

Heaven is a brighter place.
