Dear Kenyon Colleagues and Friends:

For more than 25 years we have enjoyed the professional and personal pleasure of working with your partner, Richard Gresalfi. He was a respected adversary, trusted co-counsel, treasured for his winning personality, and a personal friend of many Finnegan attorneys. We share your loss at his passing and want to convey our sincere condolences.

Rich knew that we are all fortunate to practice in the intellectual property firms that offer both professional rewards and a civilized environment to enjoy our working lives. He inspired younger attorneys to succeed and celebrated everyone's achievements. His smile and good humor were contagious. And he balanced those professional successes with a wonderful family.

Rich was born to lead a great law firm. His legal and technical skills were second only to his ability to work with people. He was smart, engaging, and his good nature could fill a room. Rich could see past the immediate challenges and knew how to work toward great rewards. He was a natural to become Kenyon's Managing Partner. We know that other Kenyon attorneys will soon build on his legacy, but for this moment we reflect on the void left by his death and realize that we are all diminished by his absence.

We will miss Rich, but look forward to his legacy of collegiality and professionalism in the work of his many friends at Kenyon.
