In Memory of Richard S. Gresalfi

Richard S. Gresalfi, age 51, managing partner at Kenyon & Kenyon, the internationally known intellectual property law firm, died on September 1, 2010.

He was born on July 20, 1959 in Topeka, KA to Thomas and Carol Gresalfi.  He graduated from Sachem High School in 1977, then graduating magna cum laude at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Economics, and finally graduating with honors from George Washington University Law School in 1984.  Richard joined Kenyon & Kenyon in 1985 and was a seasoned trial lawyer with over 25 years of experience in the courtroom.  He represented some of the world's leading companies in patent litigations involving various industries and technologies.  He made partner of Kenyon & Kenyon in 1992, served on the firm's Management, Technology, and Associates committees, and became the firm’s Managing Partner in 2006.

Richard’s unselfish desire to always put the needs of his family and friends before his own brought joy and happiness to everyone that knew him.  His love for Long Island, and specifically Northport, NY, also made him a beloved member of his community.

Richard is survived by his wife Jayne, and his children Stephanie, Christopher and Kelly.  He is further survived by his parents Thomas and Carol; his brother and wife, Thomas and Ann; his brother Lawrence; his sister and husband, Corinne and Fred Plastino; and his in-laws, Audrey and Sid Pearlman.
